My Necronomicon
Directed by Aaron Vanek. Starring Page Hearn.

A real treat to watch...although it's the typical mythos plot.  Man seeks power.  Man gets flesh-bound tome.  Man reads from said flesh-bound tome.  Man is in deep shit.  Man realizes he is in deep shit.  Man goes insane.  Man disappears with only the aforementioned flesh-bound tome to speak of the horrors that lie in wait for the ignorant.  Whew...that was alot.  This is by no means an amateur short.  The black and white set the tone for the piece, as does the jarring camera tracking and quick cuts.  The special optical film effects are very impressive for being such a low budget piece  Although it runs only a minute forty-six seconds long, it shows talent and promise.  If so inclined...this could be substituted for the long drawn out plots of most mythos stories.  And again I am reminded of that warning from many CoC role-playing situations... "For god sakes...don't read the f_____n book!!"  Kids...don't try this at home.

mynecro1.wavNo dialogue...so there is this neato electronic music to listen to.  It's a minute long and about 240k.
