The Haunted Palace This movie is a well produced adaptation of The Case of Charles Dexter Ward (although the name is attributed to a work of Poe) with a fairly good acting job by veteran horror icon, Vincent Price. Not only that, but the supporting cast lends as much to the story as the leading man. Corman does a great job at presenting a legend haunted Arkham and it's degenerated denizens. (An interesting sidenote is that Daniel Haller, director of The Dunwich Horror, served as Art Director for this film.) hpalace1.wav Curwin curse the Arkham villagers as they prepare to burn him alive. hpalace2.wav One of Arkham's villagers is concerned upon Ward's arrival. hpalace3.wav Priam Willet explains to the Ward's
about the villagers fears and the legend of Joseph Curwin.
